I make myself happy by changing my definition of success."
"I make myself rich by wanting only the simple gifts of eternity."
"I make myself joyful by recognizing and appreciating what God has already given."
I found this in an article by Richard Eyre in an article for Meridian Magazine. I want to remember them and refer to them often.

I want to live joyfully.
I want to be healthy and fit.
I want a clean home.
I want to live up to my potential at work.
I want to be a teacher.
I want to scrapbook more, and be published.
I want to be active in church again.
I want to show others my strength.
I want to run a 5K and walk a marathon.
I want to ride a bike and play tennis.
I want to fit in my wedding gown again.

Goals
Ok so I need cash. Looks like I'm back to my same job as last year- no promotion for me so I need to find ways to make a little spending money. I have two ideas- one make cards to sell at craft shows and two- make salads for people at work (a friend suggested this one). There is a yard sale at our local library on Sept. 6th and tables are $10 to reserve. School starts late August so I have awhile to plan the lunch thing out.
Cards- so I need to make some cards- my goal is 100. I figure what I don't sell at that yard sale I'll use or sell at a craft fair down the line. So this is what I need- blank cards and embellishments and ideas. I can get supplies at Micheal's. My goal for this week is to gather ideas. I figure if I make 10 of 10 different ideas I'll be good. I'd like to sell the cards for $1.00- $1.50 a piece.
Salads- I can price items I'd need when I go to the grocery store. I'd need to purchase items the evening before to make sure everything is fresh. I'm thinking of maybe selling them for $4.00 each.

My daughter, my mother
My son is going in to middle school this year and he will be home for about an hour before we get home. I feel he is old enough to handle the responsiblity. so does my daughter- his younger sister. She told him of her expectations of him. she showed him how to use the intercom system (to see who is at the door)and told him not just to buzz people in like we usually do. She also gave him snack ideas and told him not to use the stove or microwave. She reminds me so much of my mother. that's a good thing.

Vacation
We recently got back from North Carolina, Outer Banks. We had a blast! I'm going to share some pictures of our trip.
We stopped on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
We saw some sort of military boat,
and a submarine.
A fisherman caught a sting ray.
This is the family. They saw some dolphins when I was in the bathroom.

Vacation pt 4.
These little sand crabs were everywhere!
This was the band we listened to at the Black Pelican.
They were pretty good too!
We enjoyed the hot tub! Notice how sunburnt my hubby's face is. He had been surfing all day.
Hubby having fun in the ocean.
Yes, I went on this trip too! This is the only picture of me.
